This guide explains how to buy NFTs at a fixed price with payment in Japanese yen. To ensure safe transactions, HEXA uses highly secure payments with 3D Secure for credit card payments. This provides higher security than a typical e-commerce site. For the bidding process in yen auctions, see here.
How to buy an NFT
First, go to the sales page of the NFT you want to buy and click "Buy." Then log in (or sign up if you don't have an account), set the name to be shown in the holder field, and choose whether to link to your HEXA profile page. Your email address is used only for communications from HEXA and will never be made public.
Next, enter your card details and click "Buy." You will be taken to your credit card company's 3D Secure authentication screen (the screen varies by card company). Enter your 3D Secure password and submit it to complete the purchase. Once the purchase is complete, the name you set will be shown as the holder. Purchases of ¥2,000,000 or less are paid by credit card; purchases over ¥2,000,000 are paid by bank transfer.
Receiving, storing and reselling NFTs
The NFT you buy is stored in your HEXA account. Right after purchase, you can view the holder-only content by verifying your account.
After the NFT is issued, unless a lock-up (resale restriction period) is set, you can resell the NFT for Japanese yen at any time from My Page. Issuance of the NFT takes about 1 business day, and the lock-up period varies by NFT.
(Advanced) ERC721 NFTs can also be withdrawn
This section is for advanced users. If you are not familiar with MetaMask or wallets, you do not need to do any of these steps. Rest assured that you can resell and store NFTs within HEXA without withdrawing them.
ERC721 NFTs can also be withdrawn to your own wallet, such as MetaMask. To withdraw, click "Withdraw" on My Page. Please note that once you withdraw an NFT, gas fees will be required to deposit it back into HEXA for resale. (ERC1155 NFTs currently cannot be withdrawn, for reasons related to Japanese law.)
