KamuiVerse, a virtual world based on the works of manga artist Kamui Fujiwara, has launched "+α KamuiVerse Regional Revitalization," a new project that blends regional revitalization with a plus-alpha of entertainment. As its first installment, it is partnering with Kumakogen Town, Ehime Prefecture, to start selling a municipality-approved digital resident NFT on the NFT marketplace HEXA. It is an NFT that lets you enjoy helping build a community you can feel attached to as a second hometown.
What is KamuiVerse?
KamuiVerse, a virtual world based on the world of "Zodiac Revolver," is a Web3-era community where participants act as residents of a virtual world while staying linked to real local communities. It has now introduced a municipal membership NFT (that is, a digital resident NFT) as part of its content, and will pursue sustainable regional revitalization in partnership with local communities across Japan.

The landmark first partner of "+α KamuiVerse Regional Revitalization" is Kumakogen Town in Ehime Prefecture. A connection formed through sake brewing done together with KamuiVerse users has led to the start of a "new kind of town revitalization" that draws on local resources such as tourism, culture and food.
