Habikino City is a historic city with sites recognized as a World Heritage Site and as Japan Heritage, and it is also famous for its meat industry with a 140-year tradition. This project aims to promote Habikino City's appeal to foreign tourists and Japanese travelers at the venue of the 2025 Osaka, Kansai Expo. By using a digital resident NFT, the first ever issued in the Kinki region, the city also aims to create a related population — people who maintain an ongoing connection to a region without living there — from outside the area and further revitalize local industries.
