A Showa-era kayo pop group takes part in regional revitalization as "Public-Private Partnership Ambassadors." A case study of NFTs connecting artist IP with local governments.
In a regional revitalization model project run by the Public-Private Partnership Promotion Organization (a general incorporated association) using the Cabinet Office's "Regional Future Grant," the SHOW-WA/MATSURI Special New Product Development Support Project Pass of SHOW-WA / MATSURI (produced by Yasushi Akimoto), a Showa-era kayo pop group serving as "Public-Private Partnership Ambassadors," was sold on the HEXA NFT Marketplace. The initiative combines the artists' reach with the local resources of municipalities to turn fans across Japan into a "related population" — people who maintain an ongoing connection to a region without living there.
