The "Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture Fukka-chan NFT" (created by MITSUISHI Design LLC), issued on HEXA, one of Japan's largest NFT marketplaces, has gone on sale as a furusato nozei (hometown tax donation) return gift from Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture.
This is the first NFT of Fukka-chan, the official mascot character of Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture. The Fukka-chan NFT is a ticket NFT and can also be used as a ticket to receive items such as a set of Fukaya green onions (worth ¥1,000, tax included) or an assortment of Fukka-chan goods (worth ¥1,000, tax included).
Turning tickets into NFTs allows them to be traded safely in digital form. Taking advantage of the NFT's ability to prove uniqueness, the tickets can be traded on the secondary market without counterfeits circulating.
